Our education activities are not limited to students in Chiba University. Department of Social Pharmacy provides a broad education for pharmacists, children in elementary school and junior high schools.

"The training meeting of an physical assessment" was held at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chiba University. 20 pharmacists joined the meeting.

"Alcohol, Smoking and Drug Use and Our Health" were held at the elementary school of Chiba University. 121 of the 6 grade students joined and discuss about the danger of alcohol, smoking and Drug Use through experiments.

"Try Dispensing Medicines -preparation of injection formulations" was held at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chiba University in collaboration with the Program for Promoting Inter-University Collaborative Education "Chiba University Course on Practical and Social Pharmacy". 27 of the 2nd and 3rd students of Higashi Katsushika High School joined.

"An appropriate use of medication-Lectures on medications through experiments" and "Lectures on drug abuse through experiments" were held at Higashisuna elementary school (Koto-ku, Tokyo), under the sponsor of Japanese Drug Organization of Appropriate Use and Research in collaboration with the Program for Promoting Inter-University Collaborative Education "Chiba University Course on Practical and Social Pharmacy". 57 students of the 4th and 5th grade in Higashisuna elementary school joined.

"Professional training on Sterile pharmaceutical preparation: Basic course & Advanced course" was held under the co-sponsorship of Chiba Pharmaceutical Association at Chiba University. A total of 22 pharmacists joined and a certificate of completing the program was given to the pharmacist completing the program.

"Let's try appropriate use of medications" was held for Children at elementary school and junior high school at the event of "No Drug! Know Drug" hosted by the Chiba Pharmacists Association. Participated children learned appropriate use of medications, drug abuse and drug doping through a quiz game and experiments.

"Family Program for a Summer Vacation; Try Dispensing Medicines" were held at Chiba University. Children in elementary school and junior high school and their parents had experiences of filling medicine prescriptions for patients in a virtual pharmacy. A total of 56 people participated in the program and a certificate of completion the program was given to the children completing the program.
